A person was being assessed for a minor injury possibly suffered from an apartment fire Friday in the Jefferson Park community of South Los Angeles.
Firefighters dispatched about 9:15 a.m. Friday to the two-story apartment building at 4038 W. 28th St., east of Crenshaw Boulevard, had the fire out within 20 minutes of their arrival, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
