Authorities Tuesday released the names of a man and woman killed in a crash on the Orange (57) Freeway in Fullerton early Sunday.
Abel Guzman, 26, and Kimberly Guzman, 18, both of Ontario, died in the collision, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence in connection with the crash, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Fernando Perez, who did not release the suspect’s name.
The man apparently passed out while driving a Toyota Camry in the northbound carpool lane of the freeway at Imperial Highway, Perez said. The driver of a Jeep Cherokee then struck the rear of the Toyota about 2:30 a.m., Perez said.
The driver of the Jeep suffered moderate injuries, Perez said.
The Guzmans were passengers in the Toyota.
