The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Saturday to $5.71, its highest amount since June 16.
The average price is 2.7 cents more than one week ago, 28.5 cents higher than one month ago and $1.237 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It has increased $1.016 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
The Orange County average price rose for the 18th time in 19 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $5.667, its highest amount since June 12. It has risen 36.9 cents over the past 19 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Friday.
The Orange County average price is 4.4 cents more than one week ago, 36.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.248 greater than one year ago. It has increased $1.031 since the attack on Iran.
The national average price decreased a half-cent to $4.101, one day after rising eight-tenths of a cent. It is 1 cent less than one week ago, 25.4 cents more than one month ago and 94.9 cents higher than one year ago.
