Overnight lane closures are scheduled to continue Monday evening on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Topanga to allow Caltrans crews to perform guardrail work.
Beginning as early as 10 p.m. Monday through as late as 6 a.m. Aug. 15, one lane of Topanga Canyon Boulevard/State Route 27 will remain open between Entrada Drive and Pacific Coast Highway, with flaggers directing alternating traffic, according to Caltrans.
The location of the one-way traffic control may shift throughout the night, but signs will be posted to alert motorists in both directions, officials said.
Motorists were advised to expect delays and use alternate routes during overnight construction. Nearby residents and businesses were also advised to anticipate noise, vibrations and dust associated with the work.
The guardrail work is part of an 18-mile State Route 27 pavement rehabilitation project extending from Pacific Coast Highway to Devonshire Street in Chatsworth. The project includes repaving the highway and upgrading curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons and bus pads.
Caltrans said construction in the San Fernando Valley has been completed, while work in the Topanga area is continuing.
The entire project is expected to be completed in summer 2027.
