A rapper who goes by the name Blueface was detained Sunday and later released after sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a Santa Clarita restaurant.
Deputies responded about 5:27 p.m. Sunday to King of Crab in the 26200 block of Bouquet Canyon Road following a report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Josh Nemeth of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station told City News Service that deputies responded to the location and conducted an investigation.
Nemeth confirmed the incident involved Blueface, and that the rapper was detained before being released.
The 29-year-old Santa Clarita resident was born Johnathan Michael Porter, according to multiple websites.
“Deputies responded, completed an investigation and determined no crime occurred at the location,” Nemeth told CNS.
No injuries were confirmed, and no other arrests were reported.
