A woman killed in a multi-vehicle collision in West Rancho Dominguez was publicly identified Saturday.

Officers responded around 2:10 p.m. Friday near Rosecrans Avenue and Main Street to reports of a major traffic collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Kiah Reed, 35, died from traumatic injuries on a sidewalk in an accident, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office stated. Her city of residence was not available. It was unclear what Reed’s involvement in the crash was.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location where the collision occurred and took one person to a hospital in unknown condition, authorities said.

A suspect was taken into custody after briefly fleeing the scene, authorities said.

Details about what led to the collision remain under investigation.
