A two vehicle collision briefly brought northbound traffic on Interstate 215 to a halt Monday near the 91 Freeway interchange in Riverside.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 11:37 a.m. Monday. Further details regarding potential injuries were not immediately available.
The vehicles involved were identified as a white Hyundai Elantra and a brown sedan, according to a CHP traffic incident log.
Following the impact, one vehicle was left facing the wrong way in the center divide, while another came to rest on the right shoulder.
Officers performed a traffic break starting at Blaine Street to clear the scene, temporarily stopping all northbound lanes at 11:41 a.m.
The vehicles were subsequently moved out of the way and lanes were reopened.
