A suspect in a theft at a Home Depot in Paramount was arrested by sheriff’s SWAT deputies Tuesday after he ran into a building.
The theft was reported about 3:30 p.m. at the home improvement store in the 6400 block of Alondra Boulevard, near the Los Angeles River, according to a sergeant at the sheriff‘s Lakewood Station, who declined to give his full name.
The suspect was located with the assistance of a police dog, according to the sheriff’s department.
A SWAT team was called in because it was unclear if the suspect was armed, the sergeant said.
