A 23-year-old woman killed when an SUV overturned on a freeway in Diamond Bar was identified Monday.

Her name was Taylor Kawashima, whose place of residence was not immediately available.

The crash occurred around 6:10 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound side of the Pomona (60) Freeway at Grand Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The crash involved a silver SUV and as many as four other vehicles, the CHP reported.

The crash triggered the closure of the No. 4 lane of the eastbound freeway at 7:25 a.m. Sunday. The closure ended at 10:06 a.m.

  1. I was there. The SUV didn’t look like a vehicle anymore. Totally destroyed. Medical examiner was next to vehicle

  2. Taylor was a good friend of mine. She was so loved by so many. Everyone that knew her would have nothing but good things to say about her. My heart truly does break for her family. We all miss you, Taylor.
