Serena Williams gave birth Sept. 1, but it wasn’t until Wednesday that the world got to see images of Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
One commenter noted how the acronym AOO could stand for “Australian Open Offspring,” since the tennis star was pregnant when she won the 2017 Aussie Open.
Looking ahead, another tweet said: “If Alexis … does decide to play tennis professionally, will she start with a grand slam title on her CV?”
(Momma has four gold medals from three Olympic Games, including singles and doubles titles at London 2012.)
In any case, mother and father — Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian — appear to be proud of overcoming “a lot of complications” in the pregnancy.
Ohanian released a video depicting moments in the pregnancy.
Williams told Rob Haskell of Vogue in August she hopes to return to tennis in time for the 2018 Australian Open in January.
Other baby greetings:

Dear @WTA if Alexis (Serena’s baby girl) does decide to play tennis professionally, will she start with a grand slam title on her CV?
