Serena Williams gave birth Friday to a 6-pound, 13-ounce baby girl, just in time for sister Venus to beat Maria Sakkari of Greece 6-3, 6-4 at the U.S. Open.
The unnamed child arrived at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, reportedly via an induced delivery.
Next question: Will her child with fiancé Alexis Ohanian be a tennis star or computer mogul? Or both?
“ESPN also shared the news as sister Venus Williams prepared to step out on the court. She told reporters: “Obviously I’m super excited. Words can’t describe,” Venus was quoted as saying on eonline.
Serena’s firstborn was greeted online as well.
