Authorities Monday identified four people killed in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way motorist on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Lake View Terrace.
The crash occurred about 1:50 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound 210 near Wheatland Avenue, said California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson.
According to the CHP, a 2011 Chevrolet Impala was westbound in the eastbound lanes when it crashed head-on with a 2015 Toyota Corolla occupied by three women from Baldwin Park.
Ruben Gonzalez, 30, of Chatsworth, who was driving the Impala, died at the scene, as did the passengers in the Corolla, Dimora Ortiz, 62, and Patricia Araujo, 60, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. He said the driver, Ana Zuniga, 56, died at a hospital.
The eastbound lanes were closed for about six hours for the investigation. Anyone with information about the crash was urged to call the CHP’s Altadena Area office at (626) 296-8100.
