Authorities Tuesday stepped up their search for three suspects who fatally stabbed a young man in the Cypress Park area of Los Angeles a year ago New Year’s Day.
Christian Nino, 22, was stabbed about 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2017, in the 2600 block of Jeffries Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Nino was in front of his home when he became involved in a fight with three men about 18-20 years old, police said. He screamed for his brother’s help, and when his sibling came outside, the suspects ran off. Nino collapsed and died.
A reward of up to $50,000 — first offered in August by the Los Angeles City Council — remains in effect for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
