A kitchen fire spread through a wall and into the attic of a Los Angeles restaurant in the Central Alameda area before crews got it under control Tuesday.
The blaze at La Carreta Restaurant at 1471 E. Vernon Ave. was reported at 12:17 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman.
She said 26 firefighters knocked down the flames in 23 minutes. No injuries were reported, Bastman said.
