The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since Dec. 5, 2010, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.196.

The average price has decreased 46 consecutive days and 69 of the past 70, dropping 63.2 cents over that span, including 1.3 cents on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 6 cents less than one week ago, 39.1 cents lower than one month ago and 41 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped 1.1 cents to $3.149, its lowest amount since Dec. 3, 2010. It has decreased 44 of the past 45 days, dropping 53.3 cents over that span, including 1.4 cents on Saturday.

The Orange County average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago, 41.4 cents lower than one month ago and 43 cents below what it was one year ago.
