The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday to its lowest amount since Nov. 12, 2010, decreasing a half-cent to $3.123.

The average price has decreased 54 consecutive days and 77 of the past 78, dropping 70.5 cents over that span, including seven-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 6.8 cents less than one week ago, 33.6 cents lower than one month ago and 46.7cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped four-tenths of a cent today to $3.079, its lowest amount since Oct. 12, 2010. It has decreased 22 consecutive days and 52 of the past 53, dropping 60.4 cents over that span, including six- tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 6.4 cents less than one week ago, 35.6 cents lower than one month ago and 48.9 cents below what it was one year ago.
