The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday for the 62nd consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.091, its lowest amount Oct. 13, 2010.

The average price has decreased 62.4 cents during the streak, including two-tenths of  a cent on both Sunday and Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The streak is the longest since a 91-day streak from Sept. 17-Dec. 16, 2008,

The average price is 2.6 cents less than one week ago, 25 cents lower than one month ago and 52.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent Tuesday to $3.049, its lowest amount since Oct. 8, 2010.

The Orange County average price has decreased 29 of the past 30 days and is 2.4 cents less than one week ago, 25.1 cents lower than one month ago and 54.1 cents below what it was one year ago.
