The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the second consecutive day following a 19-day streak of increases, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.827.

The average price is 26.4 cents more than one week ago and 62.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 46.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price increased 70.6 cents during the streak to its highest amount since Aug. 29.

The Orange County average price also dropped for the second consecutive day following a 19-day streak of increases, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.816. It is 25.9 cents more than one week ago and 65.9 cents higher than one month ago, but 47 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose 73.2 cents during the streak to its highest amount since Aug. 21.
