The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Tuesday to $3.559, its lowest amount since April 28, one day after a 41-day streak of decreases ended when it was unchanged.

The average price is 4.3 cents less than one week ago, 31.5 cents lower than one month ago and 61.4 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price dropped Tuesday for the 45th consecutive day, decreasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.495, its lowest amount since April 27. It is 3.9 cents less than one week ago, 33.2 cents lower than one month ago and 66.4 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 50.8 cents over the past 45 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday.
