The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $4.162.
The average price has dropped 14 cents over the past 11 days, including 1.1 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The decreases for Los Angeles County follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 75.7 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 4, 2014.
The average price is 10.4 cents less than one week ago but 59.4 cents more than one month ago and 14.9 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price also dropped for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $4.138. It has dropped 13.7 cents over the past 11 days, including 1.4 cents on Sunday.
These Orange County decreases follow a seven-day stretch of increases totaling 77.8 cents that pushed the average price to its highest amount since May 6, 2014.
The Orange County average price is 10.6 cents less than one week ago but 63.5 cents more than one month ago and 15.7 cents higher than one year ago.
