
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Thursday to $2.934, the fifth decrease in six days following a run of six increases in seven days.
The average price is 1.8 cents less than one week ago, 9.7 cents lower than one month ago and 30 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent Thursday to $2.898, the seventh consecutive decrease following a seven-day streak of increases.
The Orange County average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago, 8.8 cents lower than one month ago and 28.8 cents below what it was one year ago thanks to a stretch of 54 decreases in 56 days immediately preceding the seven consecutive daily increases.
