A gas leak at the Desert Hills Premium Outlet mall in Cabazon led to the evacuation of about 100 stores Thursday, but no one was hurt.
The leak — which authorities say was caused by construction equipment — was first reported just after 10 a.m., according to Tawny Cabral of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Stores were evacuated as a precaution, but Cabral said no injuries were reported.
Firefighters from Riverside County and the Morongo Fire Department were on scene, along with crews from the Southern California Gas Company, which were working to stop the leak.
