Fire damaged a commercial structure in Westwood Sunday, and at least one person was taken to a hospital afterward although it was unknown whether the two incidents were related, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 2:36 a.m. at 10959 W. Kinross Ave in a complex that housed at least three businesses and it took firefighters 41 minutes to put out the flames, according to spokeswoman Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A 47-year-old man was taken to a hospital, but no details were available about his condition or whether it was a result of the fire, Bastman said.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire, and the exact amount of damage, remains under investigation.
