Three people were hospitalized Tuesday morning in critical condition with injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash in Commerce.

Deputies responded about 9:30 p.m. Monday to the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Arrowmill Avenue, just west of the Long Beach (710) Freeway, and located a sedan and big rig that had collided, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Three people in the sedan were freed from the wreckage. Parts of the car were wedged under the truck, ABC7 reported. All three were taken to a hospital in critical condition, the station reported.

Deputies closed off the intersection for an investigation.
