Firefighters rescued a woman after her car became wedged between a retaining wall and a business, fire officials said Sunday.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. Saturday on Grove Street in National City, according to Battalion Chief Robert Hernandez of the National City Fire Department. The car was being driven on an embankment by the side of the street when it fell sideways into a ditch next to the back of a strip mall.
The woman was pulled out of the side door by firefighters and was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. Nobody else was inside the vehicle.
