Fire damaged a commercial building in the Palms area Saturday morning before being quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The fire at a wood working business in an approximately 25-foot-by-50-foot building in the 8900 block of National Boulevard, between the Santa Monica (10) Freeway and Venice Boulevard, was first reported at 4:58 a.m., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in the one story building in just 12 minutes and knock down was declared at 5:10 a.m., Stewart said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
