Center Theatre Group Wednesday evening announced that it would continue live performances, but was taking precautions to try to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Artistic Director Michael Ritchie and Managing Director/CEO Meghan Pressman issued a statement saying that their number-one priority was the “safety, health and wellbeing of our audiences, staff and artists” and that they were working closely with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, “vigilantly monitoring the ongoing situation, and listening carefully to the questions and concerns we receive from our patrons.”
Among the preventative steps being taken at The Music Center campus, Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum, and Kirk Douglas Theatre were increased “disinfection practices,” such as additional hand sanitizer stations at each venue and the elimination of all stage door activities for the time being.
CTG said it will waive all single-ticket exchange fees until further notice.
