On man is dead Sunday following a fatal traffic collision in the Mission Viejo area Saturday.
Just before 11:15 p.m. at least one vehicle crashed along the northbound San Diego (5) Freeway at Oso Parkway, a California Highway Patrol Orange County Communications Center employee confirmed.
Nicholas Horton, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 p.m., according to Inez Chavez of the Orange County Coroner Division of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
A motorcyclist had been reported down in the center divider with multiple vehicles stopping to render assistance, the CHP said.
A SigAlert was issued, shutting down four lanes of the freeway.
Details of the crash are still under investigation.
