Small businesses, nonprofit organizations and independent contractors in Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do’s First District who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 are eligible for a one-time $10,000 grant, but the deadline to apply is fast approaching, Do’s office said Wednesday.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Friday at district1grantprogram.com, or by calling 714-657-3300. Completed applications will be entered into the randomized computer-based selection process. Selected applicants will be contacted by email starting August 1.
“Many family-owned businesses, nonprofits, and the self-employed, are experiencing financial uncertainties due to the pandemic and the economic ripples it’s caused,” Do said. “The goal of this grant program is to provide a relief to help keep small businesses in our community open.”
The district includes Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Westminster, a portion of Fountain Valley, and Midway City.
