A Montebello woman was found dead on a Long Beach (710) Freeway off-ramp near East Los Angeles Saturday after witnesses reported a solo-vehicle crash.
Officers were dispatched at about 5:15 a.m. to the southbound freeway at Third Street in response to reports of a crash involving a black 2003 GMC, California Highway Patrol Officer M. Eshleman said.
Officers found Rosa Valdez, 21, “lying in the roadway of the Third Street off-ramp.”
The woman was believed to have been the driver of the GMC, but an investigation continued to determine what occurred, Eshleman said.
The CHP’s East Los Angeles office urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 323-980-4600 during normal business hours.
