A 43-year-old man who may be suicidal went missing in Commerce, and authorities sought the public’s help Thursday to find him.
Omar Alexander Munoz was last seen about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the 7100 block of Watcher Street, about a block from East Gage Avenue, according to Deputy James Nagao of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.
Munoz is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, Nagao said. He has a tattoo on the top of his head that says “L.A.”
Munoz drives a blue 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 with an extended cab and California license plate number 23419V1, according to Nagao.
Authorities circulated photos of Munoz and his truck and urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Those wishing to report anonymously can call 800-222-TIPS.
