The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County remained the same Saturday at $3.206, the 12th time in 14 days it has changed by two-tenths of a cent or less.

The average price is 1.1 cents less than one week ago, eight-tenths of a cent less than one month ago, and 69.5 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price edged up one-tenth of a cent to $3.172. It is 1.7 cents less than one week ago, 2.4 cents lower than one month ago, and 70.3 cents cheaper than one year ago.

“California gasoline stockpiles are reportedly at their highest levels in four months, according to the California Energy Commission and Oil Price Information Service,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager. “However, gasoline stations are seeing reduced business and seem more reluctant to cut pump prices quickly.”
