The southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway will be closed Friday evening in the Commerce area so crews can work on the center median and on landscaping.
The seven-hour closure will begin about 11 p.m. and will affect the area between Washington Boulevard and Atlantic/Bandini Boulevard, according to Caltrans.
Also closed will be the southbound Washington Boulevard onramp and the southbound Atlantic/Bandini Boulevard offramp.
The work, which is weather-permitting and subject to change, is part of a $150.7 million pavement rehabilitation and bridge widening project from Bell to East Los Angeles.
