Firefighters continue to battle a greater alarm fire inside a business building — a blaze that apparently spread from a nearby homeless camp and now threatens two other buildings, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The blaze at 800 S. Ocean Front Walk was reported at 6:19 a.m., said fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The flames extended through the roof, and firefighters were forced into a defensive position initially, Humphrey said. So far, the department has dispatched 108 firefighters to the scene.
No injuries have been reported, Humphrey said.
