The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.781, its 13th record high in 14 days.

The average price has risen 17 times in 18 days, increasing 11.3 cents, including seven-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.4 cents more than one week ago, 10.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.225 more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $4.758, its 11th record high since Feb. 3. It is 3.6 cents more than one week ago, 10.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.216 greater than one year ago.
