A fire damaged a vacant house in Riverside early Monday, but no one was hurt, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the 4300 block of Park Avenue about 3:10 a.m., the City of Riverside Fire Department reported.
“The first arriving units reported a fully involved single family residence,” the fire department said in a statement. “The structure was found to be vacant with no utilities in service. There was evidence of transient persons living in and around the affected structure.”
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Damage was estimated at $50,000, the fire department reported.
