A motorcyclist died Sunday when the bike went over the right side of state Route 241 in Irvine.
The crash on the connector road between SR 241 and SR 133 was reported just before 5 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
No information on the gender or age of the rider was immediately available. The person’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The CHP was diverting traffic away from the connector road. The CHP issued a SigAlert because of a fatal crash shortly before 5:30 p.m.
