A wind-fueled fire broke out at an apartment complex in Palm Springs Sunday, prompting the evacuation of numerous homes.
The fire was reported at about 10 a.m. at the apartment building on Los Felices Road near West San Rafael Drive.
Firefighters were trying to save residents from the building but were facing strong winds that were fanning the flames, KESQ reported.
