A fire in the unincorporated Nuevo area near Perris burned for nearly five hours Thursday evening before being extinguished.
The fire was reported at approximately 4:37 p.m. and firefighters responded to the 22700 block of Juniper Flats Road where they found an outbuilding fully involved in flames, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.
The fire was contained at 10:13 p.m. with minimal spread to vegetation.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation and firefighters will remain at the scene for the next two to three hours.
