It took about 20 minutes for Long Beach firefighters to put out a second-alarm fire in a commercial building Saturday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Anaheim Street, said Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Jack Crabtree.
Heavy smoke was seen billowing from the roof when firefighters arrived, so they quickly called for a second-alarm response, Crabtree said.
The flames were out about 4 p.m., he said. Extensive overhaul was underway to make sure all embers were out in the large building.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported, Crabtree said.
