A fire in a one-story house in Sylmar Monday evening was knocked down in 18 minutes by 28 firefighters with no reported injures.
The fire was reported about 6:57 p.m. at 13420 Wheeler Avenue, two blocks east of the Foothill (210) Freeway, where firefighters were in offensive mode as they prevented the flames from extending into the attic, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the fire and amount of damages have not been determined, Stewart said.
