Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department battled a brush fire in an unincorporated area of Blythe Saturday.
The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. near Mile Post 8 of Highway 95, north of Interstate 10, the department reported.
Two acres of vegetation and several hundred bales of hay burned in the fire. Smoke was visible from I-10 and the surrounding area, according to firefighters.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
