Firefighters battled a six acre brush fire in Gavilan Hills Saturday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire was reported around 11:40 a.m. in the 19000 block of Blue Sky Road, where firefighters found light vegetation burning at a moderate rate.
The forward process of the fire was stopped at six acres, but firefighters remained on scene for mop-up.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
