A fire at a mobile home park in Northridge was knocked down in 18 minutes Tuesday evening by 42 firefighters with no injuries reported.

Firefighters responded to a mobile home park at 5 Kensington Drive, near Vanalden Avenue and Nordhoff Street, around 9 p.m. where heavy fire was showing from one unit under high winds with multiple units exposed, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters were in an offensive mode and stopped the fire from extending into a second unit and damaging the other closely situated homes, Stewart said.

It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and the cause is under investigation.
