A person was killed Sunday after crashing a car into a traffic light in Moreno Valley, causing major fire damage to the vehicle.
The crash was reported at 3:54 a.m. at Gentian Avenue and Perris Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene, and the fire was contained.
The fire department said Perris Boulevard between Gentian Avenue and Santiago Drive would be closed for an unknown duration for the investigation.
