A crash between a big rig and a Kia in Lancaster left at least one person dead, according to the California Highway Patrol Monday.
The collision took place at the intersection of 10th Street East and E Ave E around 6pm, the CHP reported Monday.
The gender and age of the deceased was not immediately released by authorities. The person’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The CHP temporarily shut down the intersection for the death investigation.
