A van flipped over on the Riverside (91) Freeway near downtown Riverside Thursday, snarling traffic, though the driver was not injured.
The crash was reported at 11:20 a.m. Thursday yon the eastbound 91, just east of Arlington Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency said that the BMW van went out of control and overturned in the fast lane.
No other vehicles were involved.
Riverside Fire Department paramedics reached the location a short time later and found the driver out of the van, uninjured.
The No. 1 lane was shut down while a tow truck headed to the location.
Traffic was clogged through the west end of Riverside due to the crash, which was under investigation.
