A small plane crashed Sunday at John Wayne Airport, injuring the pilot and a passenger, according to county fire officials.
The plane crashed on the northeastern part of the field, the Orange County Fire Authority reported. The agency said one of the patients required extrication from the aircraft, and both were taken to area hospitals.
Commercial operations at the airport were not affected.
No further information was immediately available.
