A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Sun Valley Monday.
The death near the Tuxford Street exit was reported to authorities at 6:31 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
When the man’s body was discovered there were no cars around so whoever hit him fled the scene, the CHP reported,
The man’s age was not released. His name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin, according to the CHP.
Why the man was on the freeway was unknown.
