Two cars and a tractor-trailer collided Thursday on Interstate 15 in Eastvale, injuring one of the motorists and snarling traffic.

The crash was reported at 11:30 a.m. on northbound I-15 at the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway connector, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to the CHP, a Toyota Camry, another sedan and semi impacted in the middle of the freeway, but no other details were immediately available.

Riverside County Fire Department crews reached the location within 20 minutes and found an occupant of one of the cars suffering moderate injuries. The victim was taken to a Riverside hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

The collision prompted the closure of three of four lanes on northbound I-15 at the interchange, and a SigAlert was issued at 12:05 p.m. because of the ensuing traffic jam.

The CHP anticipated that all lanes would be reopened by 2 p.m.
